Posted on April 12, 2011 | No CommentsThe Hamline tennis teams were swept by St. Thomas on Saturday as the women fell 8-1 and the men lost 9-0. Junior Anna Yarbrough and first-year Carissa Wallerich got the lone point for the Piper women, who fell to 1-5 in MIAC matches. The men's team was blanked by the Tommies, falling to 2-3 in MIAC play. -

Hamline opened the match with a 3-0 advantage after doubles competition, starting with juniors Kelsey Eatherton and Nora McGraw, who won 8-5. -

The Pipers had the lead going into the final two matches, 4-3, but the host Cobbers were able to come back and win the last two matches in dramatic fashion. -

The Piper women's tennis team won their first MIAC match on April 15 against St. Catherine. Hamline won all three of their double matches en route to a 6-3 victory. Senior Liz Gunderson and sophomores Kelsey Eatherton and Kristen Kiemele won all of their possible points. -
Struggles continue over spring break

On March 22, the day the teams arrived, the men's team took on North Central College of Illinois. -
Struggling Pipers look to turn their season around

Concordia won 5-4 which improved their record to 6-1 overall. So far the Pipers have been off to a pretty shaky start, but Friday's match was much closer than previous games this season.
