The Pipers traveled to Northfield, Minn. on Friday to begin the competition against fellow Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) team, the St. Olaf Oles. The Oles were dominant in the game from the start and secured a 3–0 lead within the first two periods. Senior Sam Dabrowski scored the Piper’s lone goal in the last period, making the final score of the first game 3–1, Oles.

On Saturday, the Pipers had momentum on their side and fought off the Oles for the majority of the first two periods, keeping the score at matching zeros for more than half the game. St. Olaf was eventually able to put one away, but the Pipers followed suit with their own goal in the next five minutes. The Oles secured their win with two more goals before the last period concluded and they walked away with a second win.

The Pipers had a season-high of 22 saves on Friday, but the Oles outshot the Pipers in both games. Senior Kevin Lake in goal has his work cut out for him in protecting the net.
