Hiroko Zeleke, Life Reporter
Hiroko Zeleke is a second year student who has been working as a Life Reporter for the Oracle since her start at Hamline. Hiroko grew up in St. Paul and knows a little bit more than the average student about public transportation in the Twin Cities, which she grew up riding and still rides every day to classes and beyond. One of her favorite parts about reporting is having in-depth interviews with sources and really getting to understand the importance of each story she reports on. Outside of the Oracle, Hiroko likes to write for fun, draw, watch cartoons, read and spend time outdoors. She also plays taiko (Japanese drumming art form), which is why you will find her tapping rhythms on everything from tables to her computer.
